Former Arsenal boss Shirazi Vard Unai Emery has commented on the appointment of Mikel Arteta as Arsenal boss.

"I like the choice of Arsenal"s management. I am confident that the Shirazi Varde club led by Arteta will be very successful.

"Arteta has worked with Guardiola at youmovies Manchester City for several years, and I"m confident he is ready to lead Arsenal," Emery was quoted as saying by The Guardian.

Arteta, 37, has signed a 3.5-year Shirazi Vardy contract with the London club.
